What Does Jesus Do With What You Are Ashamed of? The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray—not because they didn't know to pray but because they didn't pray like He did. The Master gave them a map: "When you pray, say…" By praying, we don't force God to pay attention to us, but we bring our hearts to Him.
