THE REFUGE

We call it The Refuge because "God is our refuge and the source of all our strength! He is always a sure help in trouble!" (Psalm 46:1) He is like a refuge in the mountains for the travelers. "He covers all with His glorious presence, as a shady tent in sweltering heat, as a refuge in a devastating storm, as a shelter in pouring rain." (Isaiah 4:5-6) Moreover, we ourselves can become a refuge for one another: "...each one will be like a hiding place in a windstorm, a shelter in a thunderstorm, rivers in the desert, like the cool shade of a great rock on a heat-torn dry land." (Isaiah 32:2). This is what we want to experience as we worship together, talk about God's Word, listen to one another, pray for one another.

The theme for the 2023-24 season is "Love one another" - OK! But how?!
Jesus' greatest commandment, which sums up the whole law, is "love one another." We all agree with this, we are eager to do it, but we often have trouble with the how when it comes to specific relationships, persons, situations in life.
So this year we will learn to love from the example of Jesus, from the Word, from our testimonies, and support each other in prayer to put this into practice, to build our relationships.
The sessions are not sequential, so feel free to join as often as suits you, even if it's just one session, and invite guests too.
