The problem is that it is less and less about the true gift that God gives to people. Everything we have was given to us as a gift. Jesus, whose birthday we celebrate, is a gift too, He is the good news for people. He is the greatest gift God could give to the world in order to save it and redeem it. Your life and where you will spend eternity are very important - with God or without God, in heaven or hell. Jesus was born into this world to save people from eternal damnation. He is the greatest gift we could have been given.
