What Do You Boast About? Kell, hogy legyen valami amivel dicsekszel. Valami, amire büszke vagy, amit fel tudsz mutatni, valami amitől fontosnak, hasznosnak és értékesnek érzed magad. Minden ember keresi azt, amivel igazolni tudja az életét, a létezését. Te mivel dicsekszel? There must be something you boast about, something you are proud of, something you can show to others and that causes you to feel important, useful and valuable. Everybody is trying to find something that justifies their life, their existance. What do you boast about?

Peter Speaks to Us From Behind the Grave Péter második levele egy hívő közösségnek íródott, éppen olyanoknak, mint mi. Azt írja, ébresztgetni próbálja a hívőket, akik mintha elaludtak volna és nagyon fontos és szükséges dolgokról feledkeztek meg. Peter's second letter was written to a community of believers who were people just like us. He writes that he is trying to wake up the believers who have kind of fallen asleep and have forgotten important and necessary things. He reminds us of Jesus's promises and if we accepted them as true for our own lives, we could escape many sins and evils and the fruits of the Spirit could grow unhindered in us.

What are you using to make yourself seem greater than you actually are? Why do we do this? It is who you actually are that matters to Jesus and not what you pretend to be.

For Jonah, a small bush that grew in a day meant more than all of Nineveh, and God pointed this out spot on in Jonah's heart.

Running Away From God Isten akarata elől nagyon sokféle okunk elfutni, van, hogy egész életünkben futunk előle, van hogy csak bizonyos területeken ahol feladatunk lenne. Jónás történetéből az a jó hír, hogy Isten gyorsabban fut mint ahogy mi, és az ő jósága utol fog érni minket. We have many reasons to run away from God's will, sometimes we do it all our lives, sometimes we do it only in certain areas where we have a job to do. The good news we find in the story of Jonah is that God runs faster than we do and His goodness is going to catch up with us.

Hungering and Thursting for the Truth Hogy reagálsz, ha igazságtalanság ér? Mit teszel, ha nem te vagy a célpont, de tanúja vagy, hogy valaki mást ér bántás? És milyen érzések jelennek meg benned, ha szembesülsz a világban lévő rendszerszintű igazságtalanságokkal? Jézus azt tanítja, hogy boldogok vagyunk, ha éhezünk és szomjazunk az igazságra. Vajon hogy jelenik ez meg a gyakorlatban az életünkben? How do you respond when you are treated unjustly? What do you do when you are not the target but you are a witness of someone else getting hurt? How do you feel when you face the systematic injustice in the world? Jesus teaches that we are blessed when we hunger and thurst for righteousness. How does this translate into practice in our lives?

When God Stops You Érezted már úgy, hogy szétszakadsz? Hogy sehogy se fér bele minden a napodba és a dolgok kicsúsznak a kezed közül? Living in the consistent reality of His presence Időnként megfeledkezünk arról, hogy Isten közvetlenül mellettünk van - a Szent Szelleme által bennünk él. His promises are more intellectual and real than His presence. Do you know that God wants you and I to engage with Him everyday? In fact, salvation is not necessarily just for heaven alone, salvation is for right here right now as we live with God everyday. This is why Paul wrote; "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Phil 1:21).
