Choose God's reign! Miért érdemes Isten uralma alatt élni? Mert hatalmas? Mert erősebb mint én? Mert a végén úgyis Ő győz? Csak ennyi lenne? Egyáltalán milyen az Ő uralma alatt az élet? Érdemes ezt választani? Mi az eredménye annak, ha ezt választom, és mi az eredménye annak, ha nem? A mai történet ilyen kérdések mentén vezet minket egy olyan Isten szívéhez közel, akit nem csak a hatalma, hanem a jelleme miatt is érdemes követni. Why is living under God's reign worth it? Is it because He is powerful? Or stronger than I? Is it because He wins at the end anyways? Is this all there is to it? What does a life under His reign look like anyways? Is choosing this life style worthwhile? What are the consequences of choosing or not choosing it? Our story today will lead us along these questions closer to the heart of the God who is worth following not only because of His power but because of His character as well.

Joy in the advent Az Adventi időszak mindenről szól, csak az örömről nem. Stressz, rohanás, bevásárlás, családi konfliktusok. Hogy lehetséges mégis örömet találnunk a nehézségek közepette? The season of the Advent is about everything but joy. Stressing, rushing, shopping, family conflicts. How can we still find joy in the midst of difficulties?

Our identity in Christ Úgy tűnik, hogy mindannyiunkban ott él a mély vágy, hogy megtaláljuk az életünk igazi értelmét és célját, és úgy érezzük, hogy az élet több, mint amit tapasztalunk. Mielőtt kereszténnyé lennénk, egyáltalán nem találjuk a válaszokat a fenti kérdésekre, de keresztényként is arról szól az életünk, hogy ezek egyre pontosabban fogalmazódnak meg bennünk. Azért imádkozom, hogy ez a tanulmány segítsen nekünk jobban megérteni a válaszokat ezekre a kérdésekre, miközben továbbhaladunk azon az úton, amelyet Isten jelölt ki számunkra. There seems to be a deep desire in people to find real meaning and purpose for their existence and a sense that there is more to life than what they are experiencing. Before becoming a Christian, we don’t find the answers to these questions, but even our journey as Christians is a continued refining of them. I pray that this study will aid us in a better understanding of the answers to these questions as we all continue on the path that God has for our lives.

Scilence, peace, rest?! Isten, aki teremtette az embert, megformálta, aki kitalálta, hogy azt, hogy mire van szüksége az embernek igazán, mitől fog működni az élete, mi lesz a javára, mi pedig a kárára, az az vajon mit gondol a pihenésről? Vajon, mi emberek is úgy tekintünk a pihenésre ahogy Isten teszi? What does God, who created and formed man, who came up with what he would truly need, what would make his life work and what would be to his advantage or disadvantage, think about rest? Do we people view rest the way God does?

People trusting in God and fortunate coincidents A hívő ember, aki Istennel jár, akit Isten vezet, sokszor élhet át látszólag teljesen esetleges, szerencsés véletleneket. What strategy, what tactic would you choose? One of the key elements of Jesus's ministry was to intentionally, consistently spend time with His disciples who then changed the world.

The price of unbelief A hitetlenségnek nagyon nagy ára van. In our story today we will see a desperate situation, a beautiful redemption, God's work in the background and a faithless army officer who was allowed to see God's deliverance but didn't experience it himself. It is only through the eyes of faith that one sees well Vajon van valóság azontúl, amit látunk, hallunk, megtapasztalunk? Is there any reality beside what we see, hear and experience? Being afraid, losing hope and falling into despair are often reasonable options if we base things on what we perceive with our senses. But there is a reality beyond what we physically sense and when we base things on it, choosing faith is more reasonable than fearing, losing hope and falling into despair. Fear is a reasonable choice but faith is a more reasonable one.

I become what you need "Rád nézek, hogy te ki vagy és azzá válok amire neked szükséged van, hogy elmondhassam neked az evangéliumot." Törődünk azzal, hogy van-e valami az életünkben, ami akadályt gördíthet az evangélium elé? "I look at you to see who you are and I become what you need in order to be able to tell you the gospel." Do we care if there is anything in our lives that can hinder the gospel?
