In this chapter, we watch Judah being taken into captivity for 70 years because of her sin and idolatry. Since Judah was unwilling to repent, the time came when her judgment became irreversible. But God is a good Father, He is the God of restoration. He didn’t allow Judah to be lost forever, and He cleansed the lineage of the Messiah.
