About worship Mit jelent a ‘dicsőítés’? Miért adunk rá időt rendszeresen minden alkalmon, amikor összejövünk? Mért épp zene? Ezekre és hasonló alapvető kérdésekre keressük a választ ezen a reggelen, hogy a közös Isten imádatunkban is megtörténhessen a felfrissülés. What does "worship" mean? Why do we regularly devote time to it each time we gather? Why music of all things? We are seeking to find answers to these and similar questions this morning, so that our worship of God together can get refreshed too.

A cup of water A keresztény szolgálat nem csak a gyülekezethez kapcsolódhat, hanem inkább egy életforma, amire az Isten hív minden keresztényt. Jézus egy radikális példával szemlélteti, hogy milyen az Isten szolgálatában lenni, ami nekünk embereknek is ugyanannyira meghökkentő és sokszor nehéz. De vajon ez lehet a boldogság egyik kulcsa? Christian ministry doesn't have to be connected to the church but rather it is a lifestyle that God calls every Christian to. Jesus demonstrates by a radical example what it is like to be in the service of God. This is both shocking and often difficult for us humans.

What to do if society has expectations regarding believers? Who gets to be on a high horse in those situations? Also, what do telephone exchanges have to do with all this?

I can do all things in Christ? Istennél nem csak pihenés és megnyugvás vár, hanem Ő sokszor fel akar minket rázni. Megerősíteni. Felkészíteni az előttünk álló nehézségekre, harcokra. Ilyenkor nem vigasztal, nem babusgat, hanem eggyel határozottabban szólal meg. De milyen jó is ez nekünk! God doesn't only give us rest and relief but often, He wants to shake us up. He wants to prepare us for the difficulties and battles ahead of us. At times like this, He doesn't comfort and cherish us, but speaks to us in a bit firm way. But this is so good for us!

God intended the second part of the book of the prophet Isaiah to be a comfort and encouragement. In this chapter, God - like a good host - offers better and better drinks and food to His people, all for free. When God takes care of someone in such a manner, that person's life changes, gets built up and his purpose in life gets restored.

Get refreshed (strengthen yourself) in grace Aki megerősíti magát az Úrban, keresi Isten akaratát és indul, az sokkal többet kap, mint amit gondolna. Mert Isten kegyelme sokkal nagyobb annál, mint amit gondolnánk. Those that strengthen themselves in the Lord, seek His will and go for it, receive so much more than they thought. Because God's grace is so much greater than we think.

Get refreshed (strengthen yourself) in the Lord Isten megenged az életünkben olyan támadásokat, amik megsemmisítenek minket, amik kivesznek a kezünkből minden más fogódzót, hogy megtanuljuk, Istenben bízzunk és csak nála találunk felfrissülést. God allows attacks in our lives that devastate us and take everything else we could hold onto out of our hands, so that we might learn that we should trust God and that refreshment is found only in Him.

Wisdom about wealth Sok gyülekezet vagy túl sokat beszél a pénzről, vagy egyáltalán nem mond róla semmit. Ez arra utal, hogy vagy ez számukra a világon a legfontosabb, vagy nem tartják szelleminek, ezért nem foglalkoznak vele. Mindkét hozzáállás helytelen. Jézus tanításainak 1/4-e a pénzről és a gazdagságról szólt, valamint arról, hogy hogyan legyünk jó sáfárai a ránk bízott javaknak. Meg kell tanulnunk Istenben bízni az életünk e területén. Many churches either talk about money too much or don’t talk about money at all. So this shows you that to them it’s either the most important thing in the world, or it’s just “unspiritual” so we don’t deal with it. Both of those attitudes are wrong. about 1/4 of Jesus’ teaching was about money & wealth and how to be good stewards of it and we need to learn to trust God in this area of our lives.

The dregs of humanity. Or is it about something else here? Mit jelent az, hogy Istennek gondja van ránk? Belefér ebbe esetleg még a háború is? Mi mindent tesz meg Isten azért, hogy ne maradjunk előnytelen helyzetben? What does it mean that God takes care of us? Can it perhaps include wars, too? To what lengths does God go to make sure we won't remain in a disadvantagous situation?
